Sung Eun Jung is a Lead Economist at Oxford Economics. Based in Singapore, she writes on various macroeconomic themes covering Asia Pacific, with a focus on Southeast Asia. Research topics range from near-term growth outlook to long-term demographic shifts, including scenarios from different global shocks using Oxford Economics Global Economic Model. She is also responsible for both short-term and long-term macroeconomic forecasting for South Korea and Thailand. She regularly participates in live media interviews on current topical macroeconomic issues and data analysis. Prior to joining Oxford Economics, she worked at the International Monetary Fund, assessing macroeconomic data for recent economic trends and policy spill overs. She holds a dual Master’s degree in public policy and economics from Georgetown University, and a Bachelor's degree in economics from University of Chicago.
