Dr Basil Lui is Advisor to EDBI, a Singapore-based global investor and Founding Partner of August Global Partners, a multi-stage global investment firm that partners with healthcare companies. Prior to this, Dr Lui was the Managing Partner at EDBI, where he was responsible for leading investments in Healthcare and Emerging Technologies. He also spearheaded EDBI’s investments in the areas of mobility, advanced manufacturing, future of computing, blockchain, AR/VR, agri-food tech and sustainable technologies, and pioneered EDBI's post investment value creation efforts.
